We are really proud of our 2012 Troupe Graduates. They have worked all year to develop their circus skills and performance technique.They have been dedicated to each other and have made their way to Circus Central at least twice a week form across the North East and beyond! They have developed more than 50 acts, and performed in 21 shows across the region and as far away as Wales! Entertaining thousands of people and inspiring. The Troupe was part of Circus Central’s first ever Youth Circus of Excellence Programme which ran through out 2012.
So what next? For them and for anyone who is 13+ we are running some intensive training sessions. Many of the troupe members are coming to theses 3 hour sessions. The sessions are on Wednesday and Saturdays and include a range of circus sessions which will help you develop fitness, strength and stamina to support the circus skills which are also taught. It is a drop in class and will suit people who already have circus experience and want to get serious or people who are transferring from sports, dance or gymnastics. Troupe Performers at Dance City
2 pairs of our 2012 Five Ring Circus Troupe aerialists known as “Frinzi” and “Sophie Squared” performed last night to great acclaim at Dance City as part of Youth Dance’s event Pulse.
